Sustainable design
After water, concrete is the second most used material on the planet, with a colossal 30 billion tonnes used each year. However, despite the fact it holds modern life together, concrete has a serious emissions problem, accounting for more than 8% of all greenhouse gases in 2021.
Our role as a business is to not only look to make sustainable changes internally through our business operations but also through our design work which in turn supports contractors in producing a 'greener concrete'. These can range from minute small scale changes to larger design details which will be highlighted to our client.
Structural Design
We design structures with great consideration into the quantity of concrete and steel in each project. The structures we design are as efficient as possible without comprimising safety or timelines.
Mix Design Consultation
A large part of sustainable design is the concrete mix design. We have the in-house expertise to assist our clients in using more sustainable and environmentally friendly concrete mix designs
Embodied Carbon Reductions
We will calculate the A1-A3 Embodied Carbon of your existing products and provide advice on where the increased savings can be made by means of the previous serves.
